Frigid temperatures have swarmed the U.S. this winter. But for those of you eager for a perfect winter escape, check out our list of locations to enjoy a warm boating or beach getaway. Warm and sunny does wonders for the winter blues.

1. Hawaii:
The weather is amazing year round in Hawaii. Explore the picturesque seaside town of Lahaina, a tropical paradise. Go island hopping all through pristine waters, and thanks to all the trade winds the humidity is always really low. Head out on a whale-watching excursion and you may even spot a humpback whale in the channel.

2. Miami, FL:
It may be unusually cold this season but Miami is always a great boating destination. With the Florida Keys as our neighbor, fishing and snorkeling should be at the top of your list. And remember, the Miami Boat Show is almost here and it is sure to be a great time for the whole family. Don't miss out...and be sure to stop by the Convention Center Pavilion Booth #3916 and say hello to the Marcali team while you're there.

3. Puerto Rico: (Commonwealth of the U.S.)
Puerto Rico is the perfect destination for boaters looking for an international feel that is still close to home. Dock your boat and walk the sandy beaches and hike the mountainous island. The average temperature is in the 80s all year long.

4. U.S. Virgin Islands:
The Virgin Islands is another great option for those seeking beautiful harbors, exciting nightlife, or a laid-back experience. It is an ideal destination for its diversity, history, culture, art and food. And of course the beautiful white sand beaches.

5. San Diego, CA:
Southern California seems to be untouched by the cold weather. The average low does not dip below 50 degrees, and there are endless boating options in the area. With 70 miles of coastline and year-round sunshine, southern California is a great place to be a boater.

6. The Bahamas:
The Bahamas and the Bahamas Out Islands are great destinations for the love of boating and the island lifestyle. The magnificent beaches and clear waters make this short jaunt from Florida's East coast the perfect boating vacation. Whether you're looking for sizzling nightlife or quiet pink sand beaches, you have an array of options to fit your mood and lifestyle.

7. Boca Grande, FL:
The historic Village of Boca Grande is located on Gasparilla Island in Lee County between Fort Myers and Sarasota. A great boating destination with one of the deepest channels in Florida, this barrier island is great for island hopping, fishing, or just walking the seven miles of powdery white sand beaches. Average high temperatures are between 75-80 degrees in this "Old Florida" town on the Gulf of Mexico where the locals get around in golf carts. Rent one for the day and go exploring.
